2026 Youth Sailing Camp Announcement
The sailing camp program for 2026 is as follows:
Week of June 1: Introduction to Sailing Camp
Week of June 8: Advance Sailing I Camp
Week of June 15: Advanced Sailing II Camp
Week of June 22: Thibodeaux/Seals Great Grandchildren Camp
Week of June 29: No camp
Week of July 6: Introduction to Sailing Camp
All the camps are conducted 9am to 4 pm, Monday- Thursday. Friday is reserved as a makeup day should there be cancellations due to adverse weather.
To register for the Advanced Sailing I Camp, participants have to have completed an Introduction to Sailing Camp.
To register for the Advanced Sailing II Camp, participants have to have completed the Advanced Sailing I Camp.

Instructional Sailboat
The instructional sailboats used for both the introductory and advanced sailing camps are O’pen Skiffs. The campers are organized into teams of two and jointly sail the instructional sailboat.
Restrictions and Benefits
Camps are offered to youths 8-17 years of age.
Each participant must provide their own lunch. Snacks and water will be available.
There is no cost to campers for participation in sailing camps.
Campers will be provided a textbook and water bottle at no cost. PFD’s will also be provided for use at no cost if needed.
Each camp is limited to 10 campers but a minimum of 6 campers is required.
Participants must demonstrate the ability to swim 25 yards while wearing a PFD.
Participants are required to wear closed-toed, preferably lace-up shoes that are water-tolerant.
Participants should bring a backpack with a change of clothes and a towel daily. Hats and sunglasses are also recommended.
Carrying and use of cell phones are not recommended.
